Merry Christmas

We has such great Christmas. Hayden was so excited he checked the window every five minutes on Christmas Eve to see if he could see Rudolf's nose. Unfortunately Santa wasn't in our area before he had to go to bed. They went to bed even better than normal, and our kids go to bed good.
They woke up and came to get us, then opened up their stockings. Then we went downstairs to our tree to see what Santa brought us. We don't put any presents under the tree until Christmas. It's just too much temptation. I'm pretty sure Hayden would leave them alone, because he understands what a surprise is now. Coy, I'm not so sure about and Grady I know would get into them. So our kids don't even see what Mom and Dad got them until Christmas morning.
Hayden got some golf clubs, transformers, transformers blanket, some spiderman stuff and more. Coy got Geo Air, spiderman blanket, transformers, more spiderman stuff, and more.
Travis got some new scriptures, some shampoo & conditioner that smell like one he brought home from a hotel and a movie. I got a book, some CD's a yoga mat, and wii fit from Santa. Santa brought the whole family wii and some games which we are currently enjoying. The kids made this Christmas especially fun this year. We are so grateful for everything we have our family and savior most of all. Thank you to all friends and family for you love and thoughtfulness. We love you all. Merry Christmas.Posted by Picasa

10 Month old Grady

10 Months old yesterday. Hard to believe I know but in just 2 months Grady will have his first birthday. New things this last month. He started biting clothes, which means he sometimes goes through to skin and it hurts, a lot. Something we are working on. He got his first hair cut and has started walking along furniture. He has given me two nights without interruption. The start to some good sleeping times for me again. He had a double ear infection and a sinus infection all at the same time and consequently got his first dose of antibiotics. Not bad considering he almost a year old. He eats anything and everything and is actually quite a pig. He keeps us laughing all the time and is into everything. He loves the toilet paper, so now it sits on the back of out toilets instead of on the holder. He is quite observant and extremely smart. We can see the wheels turning always. Our lives wouldn't be the same without him. We all love out Grady Baby so much.

Gingerbread Houses

Ideally we like to do the the gingerbread houses at the beginning of December, but having a baby this year has proved to be a challenge with the holidays. So gingerbread houses happened just last Sunday. I think they came out pretty darn cute.
Thanks to my girlfriend Abby, thanks Abby, we cut out little shaped windows with her mini cookie cutters. The boys had a fun time picking out whether they wanted a heart, square ext. shaped window.
We also had better candy this year. I'm still learning, but they are better this year than last. Coy I think ate more than he put on his house.
Posted by PicasaTravis decided not to do a house. He would rather just help the kids and enjoy them doing theirs then focusing on his. I helped the kids and then did mine after. What can I say it looks like fun to me and I was right. I love our little gingerbread village I leave it up for a few months so we can enjoy them for a while.

First Hair Cut

I just couldn't take it any more. The little newborn fly aways. The bangs soooo long. Thank goodness Travis doesn't get attached to these things and could care less about how I do the kids hair, because when I said it's time for Grady to have his first hair cut he just shrugged his shoulders and said ok.
Grady did remarkably well. The clippers didn't bother him at all. He did start to protest toward the end of the hair cut. Although I think this was due to the patience of a 9 months old.
I pushed him a little past his limits, hence the not so happy after shot, but we had to get the strays. Needless to say he is as handsome as ever. No regrets.

Hayden Turns 5

First come the party games. We played Blues Clues to find out what gave we were going to play next. So there was a clue of a light, the color red, and the color green. This moved us into, what you probably guessed already, red light green light. The kids has a blast playing with the balloons and running around.
Next came the cake and ice cream. Chocolate Deceptacon cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream. I think Hayden takes after me when it comes to chocolate. Poor guy it's like a drug.
Posted by PicasaThen came the presents Hayden loved all of his gifts. One of his favorite birthdays to date as fare as getting his presents right. His favorites are the Dinosaur that walks and roars, the bubble machine that blows a thousand bubbles a minute, no exaggeration, and his Transformers. I can't believe my baby is 5 years old. Next year we enter the school experiences. Thank you to everyone for making Hayden's birthday a success this year. Happy Birthday Hayden, we love you.

Pretty Snow

Grady was mesmerized by one of our first snow storms. It was so cute to watch him try to touch the snow as it was falling. He sat and watched for probably a good ten minutes.

Protector

This picture certainly shows Coy's inner personality. He likes to test everything to the limits, but the other night his limits were met when he thought Daddy was hurting me. We were wrestling with them and each other and Travis had me in a good hold, surprise surprise, and despite all of Coys efforts he just couldn't save me from Daddy's death grip. He finally broke down with big crocodile tears. Of course Travis and I immediately stopped horsing around and it took him probably five minutes to mumble out "I don't want you to hurt Mommy." What a little man, I guess despite his constant back talk he loves me after all. :) He actually is my most affectionate little love bug so I never really doubted it.

Happy Birthday to Me

So it was my birthday 2 days ago now and it was the best birthday I have had in years. I had no expectation and honestly forgot it was even my birhtday numerous times that day. But I couldn't forget for long. Since it was on Sunday and my birthday was annouced in the program I got a new birthday greeting every 15 minutes. My gifts were great and my friends and family's love was even betther. Thanks everyone for thinking of me. I love you all. I can only hope to be as blessed in my 27th year as I was in my 26th.

9 Month Old Grady

9 Months Old today, our baby is growing up. He does everything but walk and drink milk. He said his first word, Mama. He also mumbles mumumums, and bababas. He a speedy crawler and becoming a fast climber. He is a very quick learner. I am trying to teach him how to go down stairs safely just in case the boys forget to close our downstairs door and he is doing remarkably good for how old he is.

He eats all regular food that his little teeth can chew. He has 6 teeth now and working in 7 & 8. He is fun to be around, he loves to play with his brothers and his piano. Hard to believe his birthday is so close. He is 27 inches long and weighs 17 pounds. He is a Mama's boy for sure and I love it.

Trick or Treat Happiness

Halloween went great this year. The boys were so excited to finally wear their spider man costumes. Grady on the other hand hated his dragon costume from the moment we put it on till the moment we took it off. He looked too cute not to at least get pictures and show him off, but then the costume came off and he stayed with Grandma Ree Ree and Papa during trick or treating.
I am so glad I left Grady behind, the older boys deserve their older kid stuff with Mom without having to worry about it getting cut short because baby brother is cranky. We had a really good time with my girlfriend Tish. She is always a big help with the boys and is great with all kids.
The loved posing in their special spider man moves. Coy is the black spider in case anyone was wondering which was which. They were ready to be done before I was because their buckets were getting too heavy. Hayden said the funniest thing, out of no where at one of the houses he said "Trick or Treat Happiness". Tish and I just looked at each other and laughed. Where did that come from. I'm glad it's over onto my favorite holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. It's at my house this year and I couldn't be more excited.

Eight Month Old Grady

My wish did not come true, you know the one to stop time just for a little while because this season on year flies by so fast and I'm not ready for my baby to have his first birthday. Not even close to ready. No, my wish certainly did not come true, because I don't even know what happened to October. It it the fastest October I have ever had (whimper, whimper, sigh). This month with Grady's advancements has been tough and wonderful as is everything in life, right? He loves to crawl- positive, he constantly is crawling underneath my feat and I have already squashed his pinkie once-negative. He cut his top two teeth and looks so cute with them- positive, the trip down teething lane to get them was beastly and nursing is a bit of a sore experience now-negative. He also like to grace me with his presence at 4:30 in the morning now at least 4 times a week ready for the day. I can't seem to find the positive in this one. It makes 6:00 seam like a gift from the sleep fairy. I love how he gets so excited to see me, and is starting to reach for me when other people are holding him. I love how he loves his brothers and how protective and loving they are to him. I love watching his bum when he crawls. There are few things cuter than a baby's bum. He is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have him.

Leaf Jumping

Posted by Picasa

As a kid one of my favorite things to do was jump in the leaves. Yesterday we went to my parents house, raked up a huge pile of leaves and played, played, played. I think my Dad and I enjoyed it more than the boys did. Hayden and Coy eased into it. Grady wanted nothing to do with it. We had fun racing, jumping, and throwing. I love the fall season, the best season of all for me.

Pumpkin Cake

Posted by PicasaI have held onto the direction to make this cake for over a year in hopes that an occasion would call for it. So when we had a trunk-o-treat/pot luck last night the time had finally arrived. It was a hit with the top half chocolate cake (the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa is the best) and the bottom half spice cake (a recipe from foodnetwork.com) how could I go wrong. Cute idea huh? It's two bunt cakes on top of each other with a upside down cupcake for the stem. Got to love Cooks Country they great food and ideas.

Friendly Bird

We were just hanging out and all of the sudden Travis notice a bird standing on our

porch. We approached the sliding glass door carefully not wanting to scare it away. The boys were thrilled to be so close even when they were in the house.
After we figured they got enough and wouldn't be sad if it flew away we decided to
fulfill their request and let them go outside to see it, and of course it would fly away the second it even heard the door. Except it didn't obviously something was wrong with the poor thing, because the boys were outside close to the bird for a good ten minutes or more. Getting very close without touching.
Eventually we asked that they leave the poor thing alone, who was probably scared to death, and we would check on him later. Well we did and he was gone so he must have recuperated enough to fly away. Travis and I were glad, because we didn't know what we were going to do if it was stuck or sick. Fun times for all except the bird of course.

Shower Time

I was cleaning the bathroom Monday and little Grady was under my feet the whole time. Oh and yes he has been officially crawling since the beginning of the month and is becoming quite the pro. Good thing I clean my bathroom frequently or this would be kinda gross. It's so much fun having him moving around. He has gotten big so fast.

Pumpkin Carving

Posted by PicasaMy Aunt Alice (Nana) and her Granddaughter Ashley came for an overnighter. It was a nice visit. We got caught up, ate some yummy food, and did our seasonal pumpkin carving. Nana and I did most of the carving. Not that I was surprised. Hayden helped carve a little with some assistance and Coy assisted with the guts. It was entertaining to say the least. We love having them here, but missed our Rozada this time. Here come the busy seasons.

Three Princes

A while ago my older boys came up with this idea to put these blocks together and make crowns. May I now introduce you to our three little Princes. Prince Hayden, Prince Coy, and Prince Grady.

Seven Month Old Grady

Posted by Picasa

Grady is now seven months old. On the down hill slope to one year. I wish I could keep him this size because he is just so much fun. I would have sworn that he would be crawling by now, but figuring out how to coordinate his arms with his feet is proving to be a little difficult. He get closer and closer every day. He gets so excited when he sees me. And now has the stranger danger, where he is a little uneasy with people he doesn't know. As soon as I walk in the room he goes from content to cranky because he saw me and was offended I didn't pick him up. I have to admit it makes my heart swell. He also has started this new thing where he scrunches up his nose and blows in and out through it. Its really funny. He loves his Daddy and brothers too. They all have so much fun with him. He is such a sweet baby. We all just can't get enough.

Visiting Megan

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! You have no idea how happy and excited I am that these pictures posted. I did a little research and tried deleting my cookies and wallah. Hopefully it will keep working. So this is Grady's future best friend Trew. I can only speak for my self but I'm pretty sure Megan would agree, if we could betroth best friends we would.
Travis had some meeting is the same area that Megan, my best friend, lives. So we all went up together and we were able to see Travis after his meetings. It's always fun to be with them.
I got a lot of errands done since she lives in the city and I live in the country, she has a lot more readily available for buying. Our kids get along really well. I ate the best Mexican food I have had since we moved to Maine. There is hardly any Mexican out here. Even the Taco bells are sparse.
And despite the kids out numbering us I cut and colored Megan's hair. She looks beautiful, if I do say so myself. If you interested in seeing check out her blog link, Sean & Megan. Thanks for having us Megan well do it again soon.
