Three Princes

A while ago my older boys came up with this idea to put these blocks together and make crowns. May I now introduce you to our three little Princes. Prince Hayden, Prince Coy, and Prince Grady.

Seven Month Old Grady

Posted by Picasa

Grady is now seven months old. On the down hill slope to one year. I wish I could keep him this size because he is just so much fun. I would have sworn that he would be crawling by now, but figuring out how to coordinate his arms with his feet is proving to be a little difficult. He get closer and closer every day. He gets so excited when he sees me. And now has the stranger danger, where he is a little uneasy with people he doesn't know. As soon as I walk in the room he goes from content to cranky because he saw me and was offended I didn't pick him up. I have to admit it makes my heart swell. He also has started this new thing where he scrunches up his nose and blows in and out through it. Its really funny. He loves his Daddy and brothers too. They all have so much fun with him. He is such a sweet baby. We all just can't get enough.

Visiting Megan

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! You have no idea how happy and excited I am that these pictures posted. I did a little research and tried deleting my cookies and wallah. Hopefully it will keep working. So this is Grady's future best friend Trew. I can only speak for my self but I'm pretty sure Megan would agree, if we could betroth best friends we would.
Travis had some meeting is the same area that Megan, my best friend, lives. So we all went up together and we were able to see Travis after his meetings. It's always fun to be with them.
I got a lot of errands done since she lives in the city and I live in the country, she has a lot more readily available for buying. Our kids get along really well. I ate the best Mexican food I have had since we moved to Maine. There is hardly any Mexican out here. Even the Taco bells are sparse.
And despite the kids out numbering us I cut and colored Megan's hair. She looks beautiful, if I do say so myself. If you interested in seeing check out her blog link, Sean & Megan. Thanks for having us Megan well do it again soon.

Almost There

Grady has been getting up on all fours for a while now. He is so close to crawling and gets so frustrated because he can't move yet. He can move his legs, but hasn't yet figured out how to get his arms moving with his legs. It's pretty fun to watch him get up on his toes trying to move forming a triangle. He will definitely be following the boys around once he starts moving. He seems a bit curious, I guess we will see.

Bowling/Frustration

So I have been trying to post this for a week now and am having major problems. We went bowling over a week ago. Hayden really enjoyed it, but Coy got sick of it really fast. I think because he couldn't make the ball go fast enough to even get down the aisle. We tried many different ways but none of them worked. A few more years and he'll get it. I actully have pictures of all of us actually bowling but I'm lucky I even got this picture to post. I'm extremelty frustrated. Is any one else having this problem? I've already spent an hour trying to figure it out, it doesn't help that I have not clue what I'm doing, but I have to fully admit if I can't figure out how to get pictures to post again I will be out of the blogging world. It's just no fun for me without pictures. The thought of that actually make me want to cry, but I'm not paying $130 to fix the problem either, which is what it would cost me. If any of you know whats going on please help.

Summer Picnic Finally

For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while you know that all last winter Hayden harassed me for a picnic. So I gave him a winter picnic that he was not impressed with.So he finally got his warm sunny picnic. He seemed to be satisfied with it, but we ate outside a playground which I think was a bit of a distraction. I swear things like this are way more work than they are worth.
I just keep telling myself that kids need even the little experiences to help round them out so I do it anyway.
Hayden thinks he is so cool because he can push Coy on the swing like mommy.

Coy was not interested at all in the picnic. I could barely get him to finish his sandwich. Grady was not particularly impressed with the swing. I expected him to love it like the other boys did, but not so much. When Hayden was a baby sometimes I used to go on the neighbors swing with him because it was the only way I could get him to fall asleep. Grady doesn't get so pampered, one of the down falls to being the third.

Jenna's Visit

So this was over a week ago now, but this picture is so cute of my little niece and Grady I couldn't resist. Jenna came to our home and spent 3 days with us. It was nice to get to know her more since she lives over 2 hours away. We enjoyed having her. She was a big help with Grady and the boys loved playing with her. Thanks for spending time with us Jenna. We love you.

Predicament

Unfortunately for Grady he can't crawl yet but he tries to squirm. Especially unfortunate for Grady is when he does attempt to squirm he goes backwards. This is how we got into this predicament. I noticed when he was half way under and he didn't care so neither did I, but then he started to fuss and I noticed almost his whole body was under my couch. I was laughing even though he was crying and grabbed the camera. The really funny thing is as soon as I started taking pictures of him he started smiling for the camera. He's a smart boy already knowing what to do for the camera. As soon as I put the camera away he started crying again and I rescued him.

India Shirts

Sorry for the neglect I have been kidnapped by Stephenie Meyer and her amazing books. I'm almost done book two and so far love it. Grandma Sue sent us these shirts from her trip back when Grady was born. Now that he fits in his too I couldn't miss another good photo op. They love their elephant shirts, thanks Grandma Sue.

Windsor Fair

Every year Travis and I meet up with my parents and go to the Windsor Fair. It's the perfect fair for small kids. Just enough rides, not over populated, horse racing, and lots of animals. The boys were so good this year. We didn't have to use the leash with Coy he listened really well. What a relief that he is finally starting to get the importance of staying close in public places. My little Niece Jenna joined us this year and was in Heaven. Grady was a trooper as long as someone was holding him. He is not a stroller baby and it was way to hot for the Bjorn, so we all just took turns. We love this fair and hope to keep up this tradition for many years to come.

6 Months Old

I know it's a little late but on August 25th our little Grady hit the half year mark. With how fast his legs were flying in the air a month ago I was scared for sure he would be crawling by now. But alas I am still safe although he does manage to squirm and roll across the room from time to time. He is no longer happy all the time, thanks to the wonderful world of teething, but all in all is still a content baby. He is starting to cry when I walk by without picking him up or if he sees me when someone else is holding me. Stranger danger is starting which is a phase I do not like. It's always something though isn't it. He is eating rice cereal and loving it. He is also right on time with his clothing pushing out of some 3-6 sizes and fitting in some 6-9's. This time of year always makes me take a deep breath and try to relax and even more so this year. Every time Coy's birthday hits it's like I blink and the next year is here. This time I really want to slow it down because Grady will only be this small for so long and I really want to enjoy the last half of his first year.

California Stud

My sister Nica and I have decided with his new hemp necklace Coy looks like your perfect California Surfer Dude.
Maybe I can convince him to surf the puny Maine waves.
Maybe he won't care about surfing at all, but what I do know is he certainly looks like a stud. My little man is sure growing up fast.
