Day 3 Beijing Summer Palace

The entry way to the Summer Palace. It's actually a huge garden with a man made lake that an emperor made hundreds of years ago. Only him and his people were allowed here.

We were only here for a couple of hours, and didn't even touch the surface. Our tour guide said it would take you four days to cover the whole garden because it was so huge.

There were people doing calligraphy on the stone pavement with buckets of water and sponge paint brushes. The Chinese invented this so people who did this art could do it as much as they want without waisting resources.
