Day 4 Suzhou

Day 4 we boarded a plane to Shanghai. These are the pictures I took in the airport in Shanghai and on the way to Suzhou.

It was the weirdest landscape I have ever seen from an airplane. There were pockets of full on skyscrapers that all looked the same. Then surrounding an approximate space of 5 blocks by 5 blocks of sky scrapers was farm land. A few miles later of farm land there was another huge block of skyscrapers.

We kept thinking from the plane oh that mush be Shanghai and then we would get closer and see it was just another block of skyscrapers that ended with farm land on the other side. Bizarre.

I wish you could really see in these pictures how run down and sad these homes looked.

The yellow plants are rape seed plants. They were everywhere, otherwise know as what canola oil comes from. For obvious reasons we don't call it rape oil.

About a 2 hour bus ride gets us to Suzhou where we first stopped to eat lunch. The following pictures are of the place we at lunch at. The grounds were beautiful.

After lunch when getting on the bus I thought this picture of the street where people live their every day lives was interesting.

More pictures from the bus on our way to our next destination.
