Day 3 Beijing Hutong Tour

So for lunch after seeing the Forbidden City and Tian An Men Square we got a rickshaw ride through old town Beijing, where people actually live their daily lives.

We had dinner at this couples house. There was a tiny kitchen, another room, and a multifunctional bedroom. Notice the bed behind me and they might as well sleep on a piece of ply wood the bed was so hard.

The food was amazing here, this was the cook.

The man of the house was actually a little famous, he won cricket fights. Yes I saw a trained cricket waive.

Notice also as I noted the rooms in the house there was not bathroom mentioned. That was not a mistake. There is a public bathroom for the whole street to share, a bit of an amazing slash humbling experience.
