Winter Break

Monday morning of winter break we were on the road for a 3 night and 4 day much awaited trip to see my girl Megan and her family. Tuesday Megan's mom came to watch the kids so we could have a girls night. We went shopping and to Margaritas......yumm..... and indulged in desert, which we shared with each other... double yummm!
We found these super cute shirts on clearance at Express, a store I haven't seen since high school. We had so much fun and have decided we have to try to do that every time we get together since it's only 3 to 4 times a year.
Just for fun and to get out of the house we took the kids window shopping at Toy 'R' Us.

We were there for a good hour or more before things started falling apart which I thought was pretty good considering we were outnumbered 7 to 2.
By the end of our window shopping it was discretely, or not so much, known from the employees we were not welcome. Haha I did buy a $10 puzzle, does that make it ok?
Here are the kiddos, Trew and Grady.
Coy and Dallin.
Allanna, the dog lover, and Chase.
Alanna, Hayden, and Embree.
All 7 trouble makers. You should see the looks we get when we go out in public. It's especially funny when one of us watching most of them while the other takes one to the bathroom. We have lots of fun together and I can't wait for the summer so we can visit again. And I have to give a shout out of Big Thanks to Sue, Megan's mom, for our night on the town.

Basketball

Coy wanted to do basketball this year and since we would all have to go I forced Hayden to try it.
This may sound harsh but if you know Hayden you know this is how he works. He has to be pushed and then he loves it and loves you for pushing him at the beginning. Well by the end of the season they both loved it.
They both improved a lot through the season too. The coach they had was really good with kids.
Coy also thought it was fun to give me a heart attack and jump off the highest part of the bleachers behind him in this picture with no fear at all.
The last couple of weeks Coy started controlling his dribbling more and made a couple of baskets. Hayden who was always more careful with his dribbling became faster and was making 3-5 baskets per practice. I thought he was one of the best out there.
Grady did really well playing with other little friends and watching his brothers.

Ice Mountain

Our town built this this year and over February break ice mountain climber came from all over to climb it. We got to see some do a practice round right before the big event. Very cool. I would have loved to give it a try since it was as safe as this sport can get but it wasn't open to the public due to liability.

New Camera

We finally bought a new camera and these are just some cute pictures I took while trying it out.

Puppy Love

Summer i phone moments

Some moments I didn't happen to have my camera with me. Thank goodness for my i phone. This one was at Grandmas and I just thought it was so cute, Hayden reading to his little brothers.
There is a great long paved walking path in my town and at least two or three times a summer we pack up our bikes and scooters and do the whole thing. Well Grady wasn't going to be left out and he road his scooter almost the whole distance one way.
He knocked himself right out.

Christmas Morning

This year I decided to solve the "I'm cold" all the time problem, and made them house coats.
I don't mean to brag but they came out so good and looked so cute. The boys love them and wear them a lot and it has solved the problem. Whenever they get cold they just run upstairs and get their house coats.

Oh and just for kicks I made them matching socks, why not.
It was a fun morning and once again the kids got way too much. Of course they don't think so. I got quite a kick out of the video dance thing that shows them dancing on TV with costumes on.
They also got some great new quiet time church activities. Mom especially likes these. We are so grateful for our little family and all our extended family and friends whom we love so much.

It was especially nice this year to have my parents with us to enjoy the kids.
Some of the favorites were Bey Blades and the Spiderman Game.
Travis spoiled me rotten and got me a nook color, I got him a few things from the Eagles and some old school Spanish Shakira CD's.
Chase got a shiny new tag that has our information on it, but he was crated during the gift opening because he would eat all the paper.

We just had a nice relaxing day, we had our big Christmas dinner on the night before, which I'm sold on and will do from now on. After gifts we had waffles and bacon. I got a Travis a really nice family size classic waffle iron too. He loves waffles but not Belgian.

Merry Christmas! We are truly blessed.
